Human activity in the Wrexham area dates back to the Mesolithic period (8000 - 4300 BC), one of the earliest finds from the Bronze Age was the discovery of Brymbo Man [here] who probably dates from around 1600 BC.
Historically Wrexham is known as an old market town although in recent years there have been discoveries which date settlement in the area to Roman times. During the middle ages the villages as they were then grew and a town was born, the landmark that is St.Giles Church was built in 1462 & its steeple completed in 1506.
Wrexham kept up with National trends over the years and became an important administrative centre during the middle ages, the towns position made it a suitable exchange point for produce of the Dee Valley and Denbighshire uplands, whilst iron & lead were also mined locally.
One of Wales most historic figures is held of great importance to the town, Owain Glyndwr was the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales, he led a fierce and long-running revolt against the English rule of Wales. Ultimately he was unsuccessful but the legend remains and has acquired him the title of the father of Welsh Nationalism. Here is the first paragraph from the Glyndwr University website which was named after the great man:
''Glyndŵr University started in 2008 so we’re still one of the youngest universities in the UK. We’re named after a Welsh scholar and hero called Owain Glyndŵr and we aim to champion some of the same philosophies as him''
* 18th Century - Wrexham was known for it leather Industry, there were many skinners & tanners in town
* Late 18th Century - John Wilkinson [Iron Mad Wilkinson] open Bersham Foundry & a smelting plant in Brymbo
* 19th Century - Coal Mining prospered and brought with it two major disasters in the area where local men lost their lives
Between then and now like in most old Industrial towns across the UK traditional Industry has been replaced by modern employers, Wrexham has benefited from large employers in Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Electronics and Chemicals.

Here's what a landlord has just said about HelpMeRent.co.uk
A very, very happy landlord
HelpMeRent.co.uk provided us with a professional, personal and honest service throughout the whole process of renting our property. Craig communicated with us at all times with regular updates on applications along with potential viewings. Once he was satisfied he had found the "right tenants" to rent our property he arranged for us to meet them which gave us the opportunity to spend time with them.

References are an integral part of the process with no stone left unturned. Health & Safety is also not compromised with a full electrical inspection of the property to include the installation of hard wired fire alarms, heat detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.

A full Management service is provided with inspections carried out every 12 weeks in addition to their initial inventory sign off giving us a peace of mind that our property is being looked after and maintained. We have already recommended the team to friends who are looking to rent their property.
Thanks Craig and the Team at HelpMeRent.co.uk
we couldn't ask for anyone better
